Engine Part Sales

CT actively purchases engines for disassembly and maintains an extensive inventory of engines parts, modules and accessories in order to provide timely, cost effective solutions to the inventory management needs of overhaul facilities, repair facilities and operators worldwide.

Only FAA/EASA/TC approved engine overhaul facilities are utilized to disassemble, inspect, tag and repair our engine parts, thereby ensuring that only the highest level of quality is maintained. CT’s comprehensive inventory system ensures accurate tracking and record keeping of each component of inventory, provides alternative parts information which may be utilized to recommend alternate parts to meet customer needs/demands, and allows for full traceability for each and every inventory item.

Engine Overhaul Management

CT offers total engine overhaul management services to aircraft owners, operators and maintenance facilities. Such services are comprehensive and include the following:

  • Technical support and review of engine repair work scopes prior to acceptance to ensure that proposed repair work is tailored to meet the needs of the operator;
  •  Coordination of engine overhaul process to ensure that no unauthorized work is performed prior to acceptance of cost estimate;
  • Review of cost estimates prior to acceptance to identify potential cost reductions. Such cost reductions often include a reduction in the cost of parts consumed in the overhaul process. Upon request, we will acquire the required engine parts, either from our inventory or the inventory of third party approved vendors, in order to maximize cost savings to our customers;
  • Review of inventory component scrap reports to ensure that inventory parts have not been incorrectly scrapped or rejected. Upon request, scrapped inventory parts may be sent for reevaluation by FAA/EASA/TC approved overhaul and/or repair facilities so that such parts may be returned to service;
  • Detailed review of overhaul/repair invoices for accuracy and to ensure that work performed was properly authorized and consistent with cost proposals previously provided; and
  • Review of test cell data to ensure that engine performance meets customer specification.

CT maintains an extensive inventory of serviceable and exchange parts in order to minimize overall material costs for parts supplied in the engine overhaul process. With the volume of engines under management, we can further reduce the overall costs of engine overhauls so that these savings may be passed to our customers. We can also arrange to have an engine removed and a rental engine installed at a customer’s facility, as a convenience to our customers.
